01  /  Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen Remodeling

The room where life actually happens — rebuilt around the way you live in it.

A kitchen remodel isn't just new cabinets and a countertop. It's where the morning coffee gets made, where the homework happens, where everyone ends up at the party. We start every kitchen by understanding how yours actually gets used — then we design the layout, the storage, and the flow around that, not around a showroom photo.

Justin has been in residential construction for more than twenty years, and we bring in our own vetted craftsmen for the cabinetry, tile, and finish work — the same people we'd want in our own home. Whether it's a refresh that keeps the footprint or a full gut that moves walls, you get one team managing it from the first sketch to the last bead of caulk.

We'll walk you through cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, and hardware, introduce you to our suppliers, and break the pricing down by component so you can see exactly where your investment goes — no vague lump sums, no surprise change orders.

  • Full and partial remodels — keep the layout or reconfigure it
  • Custom and semi-custom cabinetry, islands, peninsulas, pantries
  • Quartz, granite, and solid-surface countertops
  • Tile backsplashes and flooring by trained installers
  • Lighting plans — recessed, under-cabinet, statement fixtures
  • Plumbing and electrical reconfiguration as the design requires
  • One point of contact coordinating every trade

02  /  Bathroom Remodeling

Bathroom Remodeling

Walk-in showers, soaking tubs, heated floors — built waterproof, built to last.

Bathrooms are the most-renovated room in a home — and the easiest one to do badly. A tile job that looks great for two years and then fails behind the wall is depressingly common. We don't do that. We're Schluter Trained Installers, which means the waterproofing and the substrate are done right before a single tile goes up.

From a tired hall bath to a master suite with a custom walk-in shower, a freestanding soaking tub, a built-in tile niche, and heated tile underfoot — we design the layout, handle the plumbing and electrical, and finish it with the kind of tile work you'll see in our gallery. Accessible, aging-in-place layouts are a regular part of what we do.

Like every project, we break the pricing down by component and keep you in the loop start to finish. You'll know what you're getting and what it costs before we swing a hammer.

  • Custom walk-in showers — large-format tile, glass, niches, benches
  • Freestanding and drop-in soaking tubs
  • Schluter-trained waterproofing — done right, behind the wall
  • Heated tile floors (Schluter Ditra-Heat)
  • Custom vanities, quartz tops, undermount sinks
  • Accessible and aging-in-place layouts
  • Full layout reconfiguration when the space calls for it

03  /  Decks & Outdoor Living

Decks & Outdoor Living

Covered decks, screened porches, and patios built for Virginia weather and Virginia summers.

The Shenandoah Valley is too pretty to spend your evenings inside. A well-built deck or covered porch turns the back of your house into the room you actually want to be in — and unlike a lot of contractors, we build them to stand up to the freeze-thaw, the humidity, and the years.

We build open decks, covered decks, screened porches, and patios — sized and laid out for how you'll use the space, with proper footings, framing, and code-compliant railings, and decking and roofing that fit the house. Want to add a hearth, an outdoor shower, or built-in seating? We'll work that in too.

We handle the permitting where it's needed and manage every step, so the project that's supposed to make your summer doesn't end up eating it.

  • Open decks, covered decks, and screened porches
  • Patios and hardscape
  • Proper footings, framing, and code-compliant railings
  • Composite and wood decking — matched to the house
  • Roofing and ceiling finishes for covered structures
  • Built-in seating, hearths, and outdoor showers
  • Permitting handled when required

04  /  Additions & New Builds

Additions & New Builds

More house, or a new one — full project management from the first design to move-in day.

Some projects are bigger than a single room — a primary-suite addition, a finished basement, an in-law space, an outbuilding, a tiny home, even a new build from the foundation up. These are the ones where having one experienced team managing the whole thing matters most, because there are a lot of moving parts and a lot of ways for it to go sideways.

Justin understands the building process from the ground up — literally, having grown up in the trade — and we manage it end to end: design and floor plans, permitting, foundation and framing, mechanicals, finishes, the works. Our network of vetted subcontractors fills in the specialties, and we hold the whole thing together.

We price by component and keep the communication constant. You'll always know where the project stands, what's coming next, and where your money is going.

  • Room and primary-suite additions
  • Finished basements and bonus rooms
  • In-law suites and accessory dwellings
  • Outbuildings, sheds, and tiny homes
  • New-build homes — design through move-in
  • Full project management — design, permits, foundation, framing, mechanicals, finishes
  • Vetted subcontractor network for every specialty

05  /  Custom Tile & Heated Floors

Custom Tile & Heated Floors

Intricate tile, radiant-heated floors, and waterproofing done the way it's supposed to be done.

Tile is where craftsmanship shows — or where it doesn't. We're Schluter Trained Installers, so the parts you don't see — the waterproofing membrane, the uncoupling layer, the substrate prep — get the same care as the parts you do. That's the difference between a tile job that lasts a few years and one that lasts decades.

We do large-format porcelain, marble-look slabs, intricate patterns and accent borders, shower niches and benches, curbless entries, and full radiant-heated floor systems using Schluter Ditra-Heat — warm tile underfoot in the bathroom on a January morning, run off a simple thermostat. It's one of the upgrades homeowners tell us they wish they'd done sooner.

Whether it's part of a bathroom or kitchen remodel or a standalone tile-and-heated-floor project, we'll spec it, price the components, and install it right.

  • Schluter-trained waterproofing and substrate prep
  • Large-format porcelain and marble-look slab tile
  • Intricate patterns, accent borders, and mosaics
  • Shower niches, benches, and curbless entries
  • Schluter Ditra-Heat radiant floor heating
  • Thermostat-controlled, zoned heated floors
  • Standalone or as part of a larger remodel

06  /  Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins

Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins

Storage and built-ins designed for your exact space — not pulled off a shelf.

There's a real difference between cabinets you buy and cabinetry that's built for the room it's going in. Custom and semi-custom cabinetry, built-in storage, closet systems, vanities, islands, window seats, mudroom lockers, a hearth surround — anywhere a stock piece almost fits, a built piece fits exactly.

We design it with you, build it with our vetted finish craftsmen, and install it as part of a remodel or as a standalone project. The result is storage that uses every inch and looks like it was always meant to be there.

As with everything we do, the pricing is broken down by component and the process is one team, start to finish — no juggling a cabinet vendor, an installer, and a finisher who all blame each other when something doesn't line up.

  • Custom and semi-custom kitchen and bath cabinetry
  • Islands, peninsulas, pantries, and window seats
  • Walk-in closet systems and reach-in organizers
  • Mudroom lockers, built-in benches, and entry storage
  • Bookcases, media built-ins, and hearth surrounds
  • Designed for your space — and built to fit it
  • Standalone or as part of a larger remodel
